In the emergency meeting held at KFCC on Friday in the presence of Housing minister Ambarish the funds were announced by leading producers such as SV Babu (Rs 2 lakhs), Soundarya Jagadish Rs.1 lakh, Sathya Prakash Rs.1 lakhs – the KFCC has also come forward to support the Chennai Flood victims. It seems the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha is not interested in such support. The central government has given Rs.1000 crore and it would do all the support for the affected areas and people.

The Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announcement of Rs.5 crores was also rejected by Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa.

Jayalalithaa had rejected the Karnataka, Delhi, Bihar, Odissha, Keral state announcement of Rs.5 crores.
